All the experts advising ALPUC on the upgrade projects advised against both due to the location of the building along a public roadway, where some people might be tempted to deposit things other than mail and payments into the box or slot. Snakes, rodents, fecal and other organic materials and liquids come to mind, as they are frequently deposited in similar boxes and slots.
