Why aren't we hooked to Terra Alta? Wouldn't that have been cheaper?

ALPUC and its engineers were required by the State to investigate this issue as part of the preliminary work leading up to our upgrade projects, both water and sewer. In both cases, upgrading our own systems was the cheaper alternative. People who like the taste of Alpine Lake water may believe sticking with our own wells was the better alternative in that regard also. As for the sewer upgrade project, the cost of upgrading our own system was far cheaper, even before considering the additional requirements Terra Alta wanted to impose.
