Who owns ALPUC?

ALPUC is a chartered corporation, not a stock corporation. It has Members, not owners. We at Alpine Lake are entrusted with ALPUC's management. If the utility company is not managed correctly, the company is vulnerable to many kinds of enforcement action, including substantial fines and could be put in receivership by the State. If that should happen, the Membership would lose control permanently, and the company's rates could be adjusted to pay fines and the receiver however the receiver might wish. The company ultimately would be given to or combined with any other utility company the receiver chose.
