Were we ever fined by a regulatory agency? What's the status of that?

For violations prior to 2002, we were fined $33,000 by the WV Department of Environmental Protection, of which $10,000 was required to be paid in cash. The remainder still is being held in abeyance, pending the satisfactory completion of our treatment plant. We were fortunate. The fines could have been much worse. Also, a moratorium on building additional homes was threatened but never issued. Had this happened, our current sewer bills would have been much worse than they now are, because there would have been fewer homes to share them.
